Tommy is a native of Tampa, Florida with a passion for discipleship, expository preaching, and church revitalization. Tommy earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS) and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Carolina University, and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Church Revitalization through Liberty University. Tommy has been married to his wife Vicki for over 30 years and has two daughters, Alexis and Hannah. Tommy loves good coffee and running marathons.
Tommy is a certified coach with Corpus Vitae, which offers consultation to churches striving to revitalize their churches. He also serves on the Church Health team with the Illinois Baptist State Association and coaches churches and pastors throughout Chicagoland. In 2021 Dr. Thompson launched Hope For The Church, to offer coaching, consulting, and other training resources to ministry leaders striving to lead their churches to renewed spiritual health through church revitalization.
