THE CALL
Tim, Rose, & Abriella Eborda – Church Planting Ashburn-Palos
We are the Eborda family and we’ve been sent to plant a church on the south side of Illinois. My wife and I are originally from the Philippines and after 8 years of marriage, we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Abriella.
For the past 13 years I was a pastor in the Philippines. My wife and I both feel strongly that God is now calling us to minister here in Chicago.
Our ambition is to see lives profoundly transformed by the Good News of Jesus Christ, and we believe that planting new churches for different cultures is one of the most effective ways to reach those who have never heard the Gospel.
As there an increase of immigrants from different countries, mostly Asia, it is essential that we also increase the number of churches that are devoted to reaching them and teaching them the Gospel of Jesus. My aim is to establish a church that is authentically multi-ethnic in both its leadership and members. Discipleship will be the main focus while we present the Gospel and worship in a multicultural setting.
We have successfully finished the church planter’s assessment and are currently serving in ASHBURN BAPTIST CHURCH as our home church. Our plan is to launch on Easter Sunday 2024.
MAKING DISCIPLES
We believe that people grow better in circles than they do in rows. Small Group Bible studies are a great way to grow more deeply in our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These gatherings are designed to give us a chance to learn, fellowship and engage in with the Filipino community.

As much as we can dream, plan, and work, this vision for Ashburn – Palos will not become a reality unless we have others join us in praying for God to do a mighty work. We are looking for individuals that will partner with us in faithfully praying for Chicago and the mission God has given us.
GIVE
We estimate that it will take 5 years for Ashburn – Filipino to become self-sustaining. Therefore, we are asking potential partners to give a one-time launch gift of $10, 000, or recurring gifts spread over one to three years. We need to meet our annual budget goal of $100,000.

Without people, this dream will never become a reality. If God is calling you to partner with us as a part of the Ashburn – Palos family, we would love to talk to you! We need people alongside us that desire to see God work throughout Chicago and reach people for Christ.

You were created to know God relationally. This is more than head knowledge. The cross show us the infinite lengths God is willing to go to have a close, intimate relationship with us. Following Jesus means knowing and being known by the God who made us and loves us.
GROW IN FAITH
To follow Jesus means becoming more like Him. Your salvation is secure the moment you accept Jesus as your savior, but spiritual maturity is a journey that doesn’t happen alone. Becoming more like Jesus means letting go of your past and growing in faith surrounded by a loving community.

Finally, following Jesus means going out into our world, loving our neighbor, and making a difference. We find great joy in giving generously, praying boldly, serving consistently and helping other people start their journey of faith also. At Ashburn, we are all on this journey of faith together. We are a living community of faith. Not a building. Not a weekly meeting. A community.
