AUGUST 26, 2021
Dear Ashburn Family:
On August 26th, Governor Pritzker issued a statewide indoor mask mandate regardless of vaccination status, which will go into effect on Monday, August 30th. Similar measures are already in place in Cook County and Chicago. Starting Monday, the order from the Cook County Department of Public Health requires everyone aged 3 and up to wear a mask in all public places.
From the beginning of this pandemic, your wellness and safety have been the priority of our church’s leadership. Beginning this Sunday, August 29th, we are implementing the following guidelines to help meet these goals:
- Safety First- If you have a temperature, or do not feel well, you should stay home and watch our services online. If you or someone you know has had any contact with known COVID-19 confirmed cases or is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or is at risk, you are encouraged to watch our worship services online on Facebook Live or ashburn.live.
- Masks- We encourage you to wear masks, for your safety, but they are not required. Please bring your own mask. If you do not have one, they will be supplied at the entrance.
- Hand sanitizer- Stations will be easily accessible. You are encouraged to use frequently.
- Social distancing- Seating in the auditorium will be spaced to every other pew as marked. Waving, as an alternative, is encouraged, at this time. We also encourage you not to congregate in the hallways or lobby. Move conversations outdoors where the air is fresh.
Please pray with us, for the safety and health of our church family, as well as our community. Our goal to continue to meet together, to encourage one another, and otherwise help each other to live the Christian life, safely, and we want you to know that these measures are taken now with the understanding that they will not continue indefinitely.
Cook County is currently at 5.4% positivity rate. https://www.dph.illinois.gov/covid19
